EST. FOR THE EXTRAORDINARYAN INTERNATIONAL BIRD AUCTION HOUSE · ORNIS
THE COLLECTOR DESK

Questions, answered.

Registration, bidding, payments and international collection — explained clearly.

01 / REGISTRATION & ACCESS
Do I need an account to view lots?
No. The plan is to let visitors browse public auction information without signing in. A verified client account will be required before making real bids.
Who may sell birds on ORNIS?
Only companies belonging to the operator’s own group will be able to publish listings. ORNIS is not an open marketplace for external sellers.
Why might bidding access require approval?
Verification helps confirm identity, contact details and practical trading eligibility. The exact process will be published before the live service opens.
02 / BIDDING & AUCTIONS
How does a timed online auction work?
A lot is offered for a defined period. Eligible clients can submit bids until the server records the auction as closed. This is not a livestream auction.
Will automatic bidding be available?
ORNIS is designed to support confidential maximum bids (proxy bidding). The auction engine, not your browser, will automatically raise the current public bid in predefined increments when a competitor bids. This is a demonstration until the live engine is connected.
What is a reserve price?
The reserve price is a confidential minimum sale price set by ORNIS. Visitors can see whether the reserve has been met, but not the hidden amount. If it remains unmet at closing, the lot is not automatically sold.
What happens if someone bids at the last second?
An automatic extension is planned to discourage last-second sniping. The precise extension time and bidding increments will be shown in the final auction rules.
Is my demo bid legally binding?
No. Every bid on this prototype is fictional and remains in your own browser. No real auction, payment, purchase or reservation takes place.
03 / PAYMENT & INVOICING
Are buyer fees included in the bid?
No final ORNIS fee schedule has been adopted for this prototype. Any commissions, taxes, payment charges or transport costs must be disclosed before real bidding is enabled.
Which currencies and payment methods are supported?
The preview displays amounts in EUR. Accepted currencies, banking arrangements and payment services are still to be confirmed for the live platform.
When will I receive an invoice?
The selling company and invoice requirements will be identified in the binding transaction documents after a real auction is completed. No invoices are generated by this demonstration.
04 / TRANSPORT & DOCUMENTATION
Can a bird be shipped to any country?
No. Import eligibility depends on species, country of origin, destination, current veterinary restrictions and applicable trade permits. Confirmation must be obtained for each shipment.
What about CITES and EU certificates?
Where applicable, lawful-origin evidence, CITES documents, EU certificates and other permits need to be reviewed under the rules applying to the specific transaction. A sample listing does not imply documentation exists.
Who arranges quarantine and transport?
Responsibilities, export procedures, collection dates and costs must be agreed in the final sale conditions and depend on destination-specific requirements.
05 / AFTER THE AUCTION
Can a winning bid be cancelled?
Any cancellation rights, mandatory legal exceptions and remedies must be established in the final terms. The demo creates no binding contract.
What happens if export permission is refused?
This must be governed by published contractual conditions and applicable law. The platform must not promise that every international transaction is exportable.
